With a creative fusion of alt-rock, funk, and reggae reminiscent of the Red Hot Chili Peppers in the ’90s, comes the heavy-hitting band from Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland — The RVMES (pronounced ‘The Rooms’).
Whether drenched in sunshine or pink neon lights, The RVMES have been road-tested and fiercely approved by some of the country’s finest party animals across four national headline tours, a climbing number of festivals (TSB Festival of Lights, River Sounds Festival, Okura Forest Festival, Grey Lynn Park Festival), and some solid NZ radio love (bFM, BrianFM, MostFM). It’s safe to say their live set is as tight as a Ponsonby side street and is damn hard to match.
The RVMES are gearing up for a wicked summer in 2025/26 with a fresh new album, Boundary Issues, set for release on the 5th of September, accompanied by another national tour (dates TBA) and the exciting news of being signed to NZ indie label AAA Records (Troy Kingi, KITA, French for Rabbits).
